In the 2012 election cycle, Mobilize.org will invest in hyperlocal, Millennial-led projects to increase Millennial civic engagement. To take the Millennial Generation online community offline, Mobilize.org will host a convening for the Millennials with the winning ideas in Charlotte, North Carolina August 24-26th, 2012.

 

Mobilize.org will use GOOD Maker, the online voting platform of GOOD, to crowd source ideas and invite Millennials to vote on their favorite projects in which Mobilize.org will invest awards totaling $25,000. The proposing individuals or teams can win an all-expense paid trip to the Mobilize.org summit to celebrate their achievements and pitch a long-term sustainability plan that will continue the momentum of Millennial civic engagement after the 2012 Election.

 

The overall award winners during the Charlotte Summit Competition will be enrolled in a four month Mobilize.org 2012 Fellowship program, and will receive access to Mobilize.org networks, partnership opportunities and leadership development skill trainings. During the Charlotte Summit, Five Mobilizer 2012 bloggers will be chosen from the key communities that Mobilize.org will be active in 2012 and beyond.
