Speak Up California - UC Berkeley (CA Fwd Dialogue)

California is at a crossroads, facing a myriad of obstacles, from our crumbling infrastructure to our struggling schools. All over the state, Californians are talking about what we need to do to get our state back on trackand how we can empower our communities to promote local innovation and improve results.

Speak Up California is an effort to focus this conversation on a set of real, actionable reforms we can make to our states governance system. Over the next several months, California Forward is inviting civic leaders, business groups, non-profit advocates, elected officials, and other interested Californians to participate in a series of community gatherings to discuss how we can change our states direction. California Forward plans to collect this input and incorporate it into a set of reform proposals the California Forward Action Fund will move toward the 2012 ballot.

Please come share your input with us at UC Berkeley.  This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.  Light refreshments will be provided.  Please register below.

What is a CA Fwd Dialogue? California Forward is interested in hearing your ideas about how we can fix our state government. In gatherings across the state over the next few months, we hope to listen, learn, and gather feedback on a series of policy ideas we are developing—in consultation with experts throughout California—that we think will make our government more collaborative and more effective.
