Los Angeles is the most populous city in California. As you can imagine, it takes a lot to provide for a city with more than 3.7 million people. It’s even harder when the City has overseen steep spending cuts to keep Los Angeles’ books balanced. Still the city has a deficit of nearly $216 million.

At least one person, in city hall, vows to make some changes that will allow local government to work more efficiently while bringing the data closer to its residents.

California Forward had the opportunity to sit down with the newly elected L.A. City Controller, Ron Galperin.
